Queens House is one of the few remaining original buildings, dating back to when Kingsway was created in 1915-1918. The principal office entrance is from Lincoln’s Inn Fields, but tenants also enjoy secondary access from Kingsway Queens House is situated in the heart of Midtown, just a few minutes from Holborn Station, on the west side of central London’s largest surviving Garden Square. Active Service Solutions Ltd were commissioned to undertake a comprehensive but sympathetic refurbishment of buildings common parts which would highlight the original architectural features but incorporate a contemporary design. The scope included the design, supply and install of a bespoke receptions desk, full LED lighting system upgrade, vinyl wrapping of all office entrance doors, carpeting of all stairs and landings across seven floors and Amtico herringbone flooring within the reception and entrance areas and full redecoration through all common areas.

Results:

An amazing transformation of the building’s reception area and common parts which our client was delighted with, even with the demanding nature of working within a fully operational building we delivered the project on time and within budget whilst constantly dealing with a changing scope due to unknown factures that working in old building constantly creates.
